How to crochet an easy scarf with one skein of yarn: Window grids scarf

Image
I was looking for new crochet stitches on Pinterest and found  this  and thought the stitch from the left bottom corner could be a nice scarf, so I did some test and I got this pattern. I like so much the end result reminds me of "window grids". I made two version: the infinity scarf with DK yarn and the regular one with worsted weight yarn. But you can switch them. The starting chain length is the wide of the scarf, so I did the diagrams based on the weigth of the yarn to get the same wide of both (7"). For the length depends of the person, the infinity scarf measures 42" and the other one 64" without the fringes.  Materials 1 skein of yarn  I used almost one skein of Red Heart® Super Saver® Flecks Yarn in Aran Color for the regular scarf plus some yards of Red Heart® Super Saver® in Cafe color for the fringes and one skein of Ice Yarn Dancing Baby Pink Shades Grey for the infinity scarf Crochet hook 5mm for the regular scarf using worsted weight yarn 4mm fo

A lovely woman named Rosena Beatty commented me the idea to use them in a scarf instead of tassels, I loved it and started inmediately to work on it. First, I chose the stitches and the colors, then while I was crocheting I could not stop thinking about Pocahontas. So, call this pattern: "Pocahontas Scarf". Materials 4 colors on ligth worsted weight yarn or DK weigth. I used Stylecraft Special DK on Camel as color A, Aspen as color B, Walnut as color C and Golden as color D. For color A i used the full skein and some yards for the other 3 colors. 5 mm hook for the scarf 3 mm hook for the feathers Yarn needle Scissors Jump rings (optional) Notes: This stitch is multiple of 6 + 1. Hope you enjoy it.  I love how the feathers looks on the dream catchers, for a long time i have been waiting the crocheted version of the feathers. One beatiful day, i found  this tutorial . Esperanza and Ana Celia are so talented and they created the more easy and fast pattern for us. It is in spanish but it include english subtitles. So i contacted them and they allowed me to write the pattern. YAY! Materials Any yarn recommended to crochet with 3 mm hook.
